New Orleans, LA | USA 2010
Savoring beignets, jazz-filled streets, and Southern charm, our New Orleans trip was a feast for the senses and the soul.
We found an incredible last-minute deal through Orbitz for a trip to New Orleans, taking advantage of unusually low prices along the Gulf Coast following the Bright Horizon disaster. We stayed at the luxurious Le Pavillon Hotel in downtown, enjoying the rooftop pool and the quirky PB&J bar in the evenings—a fun way to relax after exploring the city.
New Orleans is full of character and charm, and we spent our days wandering the historic French Quarter, soaking up the vibrant atmosphere and sampling the city’s legendary cuisine. From beignets at Café du Monde to crawfish étouffée, po’ boys, and other Creole and Cajun specialties, each meal was a delicious immersion in local flavor.
We also toured the St. Louis Cemeteries, marveling at the distinctive above-ground tombs and centuries-old architecture. The city’s culture came alive around every corner, from jazz musicians performing on street corners to the warm, welcoming locals eager to share their stories.
Between the food, music, history, and unique sights, New Orleans offered a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and Southern charm. It was a trip that left us enchanted by the city’s energy, history, and unmistakable spirit.
